Lately I haven't had much use for City pages except for something to use to catch paint when I'm repainting something. But this week they did a scathing article about Spiros, the landlord of my old beloved art-deco apartment. (Known mostly in this blog as "the Crackstack.") Some of you remember the ongoing drama of the Crackstack, and how relieved I was to get out, even though they flooded my apartment and ruined most of my furniture and books.
Anyway, I was so happy about their article that I sent in a big fat letter to the editor, congratulating them and adding my experience to the horde of letters they're probably going to get. I know Ben the Neighbor and Miss Kitty are putting in letters too. Our battle cry? Horrible itchyness and massive poverty to the gold-tasseled dickweed!! May he have to live in one of his own units for a decade!!!
Otherwise, things are interesting. I met the Hobo King and Queen, checking out weathervanes in the Jade Mines. Garrison Keillor stopped by the Jade mines, too, with that half-frightened half-glaring look he gives us; as if begging us not to out him to the crowds. Ben and Peaty are feeding me bacon sandwiches, even though I'm very full. I have a bit of a headcold again. (Yes, again!) But generally, all is well...

All is well, here, too... Just showered off the stench of work.
