I've been devouring historical books lately...strangely, the history of the story Frankenstein and ghosts of the Civil War. History is compelling.

My leg is mostly healed up from my dustbunny-induced stage dive... Mostly. Humph. Though I'm still snuffly from headcold #4. Double hurrumph.

My home by the river is warm when I light all the candles and sit by the fireplace. I want to keep it, always. It's a little scary how much I love this place, even when the shower's kind of weird and the bathroom door likes to stick.

MCTC buses piss me off, even though I love mass transit. Myusual bus blew right by me this morning, waving cheerily. Bastids.

Wikipedia is nerd-crack on toast. I spent over an hour last night reading about Ceasar Augusts and the beginning of the Roman Empire, following it down to Caligula, Nero and Commodus. It helps that I'll be staring at the busts of Commodus and Augustus all day today at the Jade Mines.

There's lots of snow falling right now. I am inspired by Captain Emily's pictures of her neighbor's Totoro snow scultures in the yard, so if there's enough of it I will try to make something cool too, head cold be damned.

I'm out of all the tasty foods, so I must hie myself to Shoppyland to buy the essentials of milk and bread and cheese and fruit bats and breakfast cereal and whatnot.

I may well be thinking of you...yes, you. No, not you, you! I do think of you often, yes I do. Just accept it already, and I know you will, because you're you....
