Mausi loves the Rainy Day Craftroom.
Feb. 6th, 2008 02:29 pmI goofed off a lot on the computer last night. Bad Maus. I was looking at some photos a cow-irker sent me of some gut monsters I made for him, and it just took off from there. (I will show you the peectures too, I just have to figure out again how to juggle everything for LJ on a PC. I used to be a Mac girl, so this isn't instinctive for me. I did get some coaching from other PC people, though.)
It took me a while to relax and go to sleep after all that goofing. I had kinda saved it as a small reward for unpacking the last boxes in the Rainy Day Craft Room. Now every box in there has stuff that should stay in boxes, like my tax papers and old zines and sketchbooks and fabric and whatnot. Now I have access to my large bead collection, a whole shoebox full of various glitters, extra paint, some extra watercolor paper I didn't remember I had, and a variety of other things that cry out to be mixed-media pieces. Of course just as I finish unpacking Peaty calls me offering a dark grey duck egg "To use for an arty thing, if you want it." Of course I do. Maybe I can do a Koeschi the Deathless themed sort of box with it, with a heart in an egg in a box in some other box...that sort of thing. For some reason now that I'm unpacked a touch and spring is slowly creeping towards us all I feel a bit more inspired for that sort of thing.
And all I have to do now is finish the trim for Halfmoon Molly's smoke ring. I think I can mail it by Friday. Hey, Halfmoon Molly, gimme an addy if you haven't already!!! Woot!
