I've been finding that these days work's got me tired and kinda spacey. I spent a lot of time yesterday speed-cleaning the Maushaus and fretting that there's too much, too much to do. It's the curse of my age bracket, I find... Yesterday I was moth-proofing the Rainy Day Craft Room with lots of cedar and lavender, hot water and soap. Spring's a comin' and I don't want the myriad creepy-crawlies that live on my bucolic Island to find my fleece stashes tasty. (This is the problem of living in a state park. The good part is, you see wildlife like cardinals and bunnies and raccoons and opossums and wild turkeys and butterflies and such. The bad part is the nature wants to come live in your house where it's warm or get into your tasty garbage or harass your neighbor's chickens or chew your house.)

Anyway, today's more of a chill-out day today. Yesterday I bought chocolate, movies and nail polish, so I can Officially Relax. (Okay okay, I wanna go outside and get my hair cut and buy a shadow box for an project I'm getting paid for, but after that, relaxing!! I can do it, I know I can!!!) And Tonight I'm going to Moscow on the Hill with friends and loved ones to eat pulmeni and try different kinds of vodkas...

But I think I'm needing some kind of small vacation. I've got some time saved up, but it's hard getting management these days to allow you the privilege of having a day off without booking four months in advance and groveling particular well. I did book a nice four day weekend...in May:/
Maybe I'll have to figure something out, because I'm getting all burned out and grumpy...

But Captain Emily loves me...and this is how I know. She sent me Creeeeeetures!!! Look, look!!
*point point*

Maybe it's the end of winter got you down, my dear. But a nice vacation sounds good to me as well.

Enjoy your chill day. Sounds like you've earned it.

Do you have a 'recipe' for this? First of all it sounds as though it would smell wonderful - I live in an old house as well.

When you get time. Chill, Mausi, chill.

Yup, basically it means soap and hot water on all surfaces, checking the stash for anything horrible, and for anything even vaguely suspect chucking it in the freezer for 3 days to kill anything. Then lavender oil and cedar chunks everywhere, and I should buy some cedar oil and alcohol to mix in a spray bottle to spray closets and such...

hey, lady--I have your cowls all ready to go! (yeees I made *two*--the prettiest one didn't look warm enough, so I made a warm one too. All the same colors, warm yellows and oranges and pinks with black trim.)I need me an addy, I do--I think you may have given it to me a while back, but I don't have it. would you like me to send the goods?

Oh crap--I'm not chilling, am I? *pant pant pant pant pant*
