Therapy for what ails ya...
Mar. 10th, 2008 09:02 amSince the winter just keeps hanging on and making us all blue and sad with the winter crazies, I've been doing what I do best...knitting. I did have a nice night eating Malaysian food with matt and Erin and Gaily-Gail the cow-irker of Doom, but when I got home I hit the yarn stash. I've been speed-knitting a big fat bag out of rug yarn to replace my old falling-apart bag with all the Indian embroidery. It's mostly orange with a big yellow ace of spades on one side and a diamond on the other. Tonight I finish the strap and beat hell out of it in my kitchen sink with a wooden spoon and lots of soap to felt it up, and later I'll line it with some black denim from an old skirt of mine.
I also bought more roving in black and blue and pink to spin. It should blend well with some black alpaca fleece I have. Mmm, softy soft. One good thing about cold weather is all the wool:)..
