Bun Bun and spun yarn... Bun Bun and spun yarn...
"What is it? Can I eats it?"

Black and green yarn on a drop spindle Black and green yarn on a drop spindle
Drop spindles take more time, but they're much more portable than my spinning wheel... I spun this at Matt and Erin's house.

Yeah yeah, it's the one with Bun=Bun in it, isn't it? Such a ham, that one... He just wants to be in all the pictures, is that so wrong?!? Sheesh...

In that picture, Bun-Bun does look like the muzzle of a very large dog.

Me too, it's that glowing alien-green color with this brownish black and some glitter I threw in.

I also am in the middle of some blue-lack and magenta stuff...gorgeous!

*rubs hands together*

You know, I was just spinning the green and black stuff for fun, and I don't have any good plans for the new yarn...would you like it? It's only a one-ply, so I'd charge about $12 plus mailing cost. Whaddaya think?

sounds pretty good to me!
how much yardage do you think there is?

Usually I spin high--a good 80 yards or so; easily enough for a one-ball scarf project. I haven't stuck the stuff onto a niddy-noddy to measure it yet, but I'm guessing at least 75 yards off the top of my head. (I can give you a better measure when I get home from work tonight.)

It's got lots of fun thick slubby stuff I threw in on purpose; I wanted more practice spinning thicker yarn since I tend to spin light worsted if not watched carefully:)

cool- if you get really into it maybe you should put bunches up for sale on Etsy or whatnot.
I really shouldn't get into spinning... I already feel guilty enough for not having enough time to knit and way too much yarn sitting about my apartment.:P
Madrona was pretty interesting though- looking in on big rooms full of spinners was kinda fun.

You know you wanna....you do. You wanna spin. hehhehhehhhh...

I've been thinking about selling online. I just need to take better piccies of the skeins I have and see how it all goes, I reckon:)

I've heard from laughingrat that Etsy is pretty easy- I haven't done it myself but I think she does well!

Hmmmm...I think I must gives it a try...

Hey, I measured the ball--78 yards and a bit. Pretty cool for a drop-spindle:)

That's a leading question... Of course we have to say the one with Bun Bun!!! Plus, wooden floors are suter than reddish walls without kitties...

suter=cuter (typo; Freudian reference to a Supreme Court justice? I deny it)
