msfledermausI'm at workies, and workies is fine, even with the usual drama. So much drama...but happily I'm not involved in any of it.
Meanwhile, I'm still wading through the Tale of Genji. So far, Genji, got at least 5 or 6 women he sees, including ones he's not really attracted to. One's died tragically. There's also a little girl Genji's pulling some kind of Elvis-thing with,adopting her to be his perfect bride when she grows up. Then he's also had an affair with his stepmother the Empress, and she's borne his son, unknown to the Emperor. Last time I left off, he was having a mock-fight with his best friend about an affair they were both having with a lady old enough to be their grandmother. Yes, Genji has a mommy-complex and enjoys the occasional GMILF. It's like an ancient Japanese version of a bad daytime baby-momma-drama tv show!! See, kids, historical fiction is fun!!!
