Happy Beltaine!!!

I took the day off for Beltaine...my luscious four-day weekend is upon me! I celebrated by sleeping in really late, and now I'm cleaning the Maushaus for guests tonight. I couldn't do it yesterday, I was booked solid with work, I skipped dinner and then had a 3-hour meeting and interview with a friend of mine. It was worth it--the friend is now in the co-op, and is moving in very soon!! We had a celebratory toast in my kitchen, and everybody invited me out for drinks but I begged off--I was wiped out, and just wanted to catch up on my sleep.

My beloved island co-op is starting to collect a slightly larger collection of Dark and Spooky People. If we can get Captain Emily in as well, which is likely, we'll have enough for our own Dark and Spooky Nation. *grins* We can conquer the little tiny park and plant very dark plants all over it and do little victory dances and whatnot:)

For now, I'm happy just to finish my breakfast and put up some things on the clothesline and feed the chickens some leftovers...It's a beautiful day for puttering!

I should mention they belong to my neighbors in the co-op, but I feed them my table scraps and pet them and sometimes go for walks with the geese with Ben and Peaty...so I'm kind of an auntie sort of thing. Technically they're not mine.

And the eggs are damn fine for baking!
