Happy Beltaine!!!
May. 1st, 2008 10:14 amI took the day off for Beltaine...my luscious four-day weekend is upon me! I celebrated by sleeping in really late, and now I'm cleaning the Maushaus for guests tonight. I couldn't do it yesterday, I was booked solid with work, I skipped dinner and then had a 3-hour meeting and interview with a friend of mine. It was worth it--the friend is now in the co-op, and is moving in very soon!! We had a celebratory toast in my kitchen, and everybody invited me out for drinks but I begged off--I was wiped out, and just wanted to catch up on my sleep.
My beloved island co-op is starting to collect a slightly larger collection of Dark and Spooky People. If we can get Captain Emily in as well, which is likely, we'll have enough for our own Dark and Spooky Nation. *grins* We can conquer the little tiny park and plant very dark plants all over it and do little victory dances and whatnot:)
For now, I'm happy just to finish my breakfast and put up some things on the clothesline and feed the chickens some leftovers...It's a beautiful day for puttering!

Goes to the fields at break of day
& washes in dew from the hawthorn tree,
Will ever after handsome be.
