Scrubbing and grumbling...
Jun. 19th, 2008 07:40 am...Remember that lovely evening I had last night? It had an odd side-wrinkle...
While we were all out in the back yard, one of the Crazy Neighbor's cats got into my apartment through the door I left open. The Crazy Neighbor is *moving*, and it makes us all so happy to see all those boxes through the windows. Anyway, after a bit, Peaty said,"Ms Maus, there's a cat in your house!" and pointed to the tuxedo cat crying in my window next to the flowers. I went upstairs, soothingly talked to the kitty, picked him up and carried him back outside. He was really happy about this, purring and cuddling. So happy that he kept trying to get back into my house every time I had to unlock the door and carry things inside. I felt sorry for the poor cat, belonging to the crazy guy and wanting somewhere else to live...
...Until I tried to go to bed, and discovered the little bastid had peed on it. I spent an engaging hour scrubbing my duvet and sheets, putting on new linens, scrubbing the feather mattress and swearing a lot. Peaty wants me to tell the Board...but if they didn't do anything when the Crazy Neighbor was stealing plants and kicking cats and such, there's no way they're gonna care that I was washing sheets. Meh...
But better now, off to work:)

Date: 2008-06-19 01:23 pm (UTC)Second - POOR KITTY had to go back to Crazy Neighbor.
And THIRD which maybe should be first - Poor Mausie. Bad enough if you HAD a cat and that happened, but you got the bad stuff with none of the good stuff.
