Reading bits of a scary LJ...

msfledermausI peeked in on amenlover's stuff, since Ana Voog mentioned him once or twice. I should have known better--it's a Fundamentalist Christian site, with this kid bashing whoever disagrees with him. Today he claims that the King James Bible is the only acceptable word, and that English(?) is the Chosen Language, etcetra.

I don't like to bash anyone's religious choices--"Bob "knows it's been done to me often enough. *Grin* (I could tell you stories) But this guy could hurt someone really bad someday. I mean that. This kid seems so obsessed it wouldn't take that much for him to
switch from verbal assault to physical...
Just my humble opinion. (Keep in mind I spent some time in Montana, living near some seriously scary people. I may have a bias. In fact I know I do. *Shudder*)
Anyway...enough of that. Whatcha doon?

My ex-boyfriend had a colleague who did that and he later got busted for lighting a family clinic on fire.

And it's scarier that these kids are probably getting this stuff from their folks. Hate doesn't just pop up out of nowhere. Plus the religous right is really organized when it comes to youth stuff. (I remember being invited to so many "Outings" or "Evenings" that turned into
a bait-and-switch revival meeting. Ugly stuff.)

I was there for two weeks, dusting off the scariest damn videos I'd ever seen, books saying Hitler wasn't so bad, etcetera. There were *4* LOADED hunting rifles in the main bedroom where the fire started, which my boss promptly unloaded before we even began working. They kept offering us tapes, and no one was allowed to wear red. (I cheated--marroon hair.*grin*)
Bozeman was a serious frightening experience in some ways...
