I'm currently knitting a very small scarf for a gut-creature. He's all shiny and fuzzy and fabulous, like Elton John...

I'm feeling kind of burned out at work. I'm so glad I'm taking a small vacation. I should figure out another small vacation in October, too...more of a staycation, I think. A chance to play in the leaves and just relax on the island:)

There's a good exhibit on second floor of the Jade Mines...lots of presidential stuff to interest the politically minded since the RNC's around the corner. Happily there's stuff from both parties. I was oddly moved by the signatures of Abe Lincoln authorizing a draft that started a riot...

I have peaches in my fridge, and this is very important. There is a parallel universe somewhere that has a fridge without peaches, and a sad Maus to boot. I wish I could reach across the universes; I'd just share my peaches with her...

I was dreaming of making dolls again...lots of skeletal ones decorated for Christmas and such. Like a skeleton dressed as Santa's elf. I'm a sick girl, I realize this...

So there you are...

I have a peach free fridge...which is sad because on our way home from NE Arkansas there were tons of road side stands with HUGE peaches for sale. *is an idiot for not buying any*

Speaking of Elton John, my favorite outfit of his is from an Australian concert back in the 80's. He was totally decked out in 18 century garb looking like Mozart with his two foot tall wig. Awesome stuff. ^^
