I am so glad I made it to the glorious state that is Weekend. I am celebrating by knitting and goofing and I am damn well getting a nap later. Hmph.

It's just been that type of week. I'm glad to be away from workstress for a little while. I'm hoping next week will fly since I'll be going over things to pack for my vacation and whatnot. Captain Emily has a birthday coming up too, so I'll get to go shopping for her while I'm away.
Meanwhile, it's time for me to do some speedy catchup knitting...and maybe even a little for myself too. It's cool enough out now that I can knit without dying of heatstroke. I have two sweaters--one that's almost half-done, and one that has just one sleeve left to go--but alas, it's my Purist Obsessive Handspun Sweater, so I have to spin the last two skeins of wool for it before I can finish it. Maybe this fall I can cut back on other projects and just finish off the things, in between work and negotiation stuff and whatnot.

Last night was a good introduction to Weekend. I went out with friends and drank beer and ate many many little chicken wings. I played darts. Apparently I'm not half bad at darts. (It's more like, er, 75%. *chuckle*) No, really, I acquitted myself reasonably well, and even being a clumsy thing and scraping my elbow later didn't cut through the happy haze of a fun night out...

Swim through roughened seas
to a shoal of warming sand.
Rest after effort...

Do you think you could knit a zombie juju doll with guts and innards? It would be awesome!
I dreamed of it last night and just *HAD* to ask.....
