It's a perfect day for hiding inside. There was a nap. There has been knitting. There has been Flash Gordon, with happy cries of, "Yayyy! Brian Blessed is in your base, killing your dudes!" And now it's that gorgeous time of day in a day off when you can't decide whether to watch something stupid and funny or go out to get tasty foods. Matt and I were watching Weebl and Bob, so of course we have pie on the brain. Meat pie. There is no I in Team, but there is an I in Pie...
It's good to finally be relaxed. Yesterday it took me a long time to wind down from my past week, and this summer has been stressful for myself and many of my friends. I feel bad about the stressing, and it worries my friends when it all gets too much. I've promised myself that now all the union volunteering is done I can get away from some of my other stresses for a while.
Once I've cleared away a knitting thing or two, this fall I'm just going to goof off with it and just enjoy it. If I want to sell something I can, instead of fretting about knitting for someone else...
Meanwhile... Matt got my digital camera to work with my computer. I must reward him handsomely.
Erin's working a new job. I hung out with the neighbors last night, and Nathan, God of Hairdressing touched up my one streak, which I'm now criminally attached to. Poor Peaty was unjolly, so we had to talk him out of shaving all his hair off. There was too much Stargate. There always is...:)
And before I figure out what's in the house I can make either curry or pie with, I leave you with some happy, happy skeletons. You love them, I know you do...
Skeletons! Now without pie!

Date: 2008-09-15 02:35 am (UTC)Then there's Doctor Henrich Von Mausi-Maus, inventor of the tinfoil-piepan and the in-the-shell avocado-extractor...never really worked, but boy was he proud of it. And of course there was Crazy-Old-Bat Ms Hattie-Maus, who liked to break into people's homes and draw on their refrigerators about the beauty of the world and the vileness of evil men...
I have a very distinguished family, and I can't be prouder:)
