I read about this on the Burglary Board at work today...I love this kind of inspired lunacy, especially when the fail-quotient is very very high...


"Burglary suspect calls 911 after getting stuck in museum's air duct"


Police say Richard Smith called 911 early this morning to report that he was breaking into the Knoxville Museum of Art.

This was more an act of desperation than contrition, as the 25-year-old was stuck in an air duct, according to the News Sentinel. The paper says officers pulled Smith out of vent and charged him with burglary.

WBIR-TV, a fellow Gannett property, says a "police report indicates Smith said he was a 'special agent with the United States Illuminati, badge number 0931.'"

Investigators reported that he was sent to defuse a "Soviet-made MERV6SS-22AN warhead, with 14.5 kg of enriched uranium and a plutonium trigger, capable of delivering a 40-kiloton yield" that was hidden inside a "blue, plastic cow sculpture" in the museum's basement."



I know I should be worried for the Jade Mine's collection, but somehow...I'm not.
