I was going to put up another picture of a skein of yarn I'd spun, but wham! It's gone! that makes two sales, and I'm very proud:)

Aaaand today is the tour, so I'ma putting on my skully boots. Yeehaw!

When did you first learn to use a spinning wheel? I think I already knew you by the--but maybe not.

Hehheh-turn...and a funny turn at that...

It's a funny story. I taught myself how to spin with a drop-spindle and some instructions on the internet. After I'd gotten the hang of things, my now-neighbors on the Island had a garage sale, and found this beat-up, broken spinning wheel in the basement of the house I now live in. The wheel was off center, a puppy chewed on the treadle, and a part on one of the uprights was missing. They gave it to me,and I fixed it up and taught myself to spin with it out of a book. (It's sounds so easy...it really wasn't. Sometimes I was about to give up, but I kept thinking, "Nobody would love this wheel like I would...it needs me.") And now this wheel is one of my best pals. I like to think that it was homesick and took me with it to thank me for repairing and using it the way it was supposed to be used...

Anyway, I've been spinning for about two years now, maybe a little more.:)
