Okay, I'm home and watching the lights ripple over the water. Very calming, very soothing. This is needful, because tomorrow, well...tomorrow.

I won't be voting early tomorrow, since I'm an early guard tomorrow. But the minute my workday is done at 5 I will be grabbing a cab to my polling place, telling the nice volunteers I'm already registered, and waiting however the hell long it takes to vote and say my piece. I'm bringing food and knitting, because I expect a long line and I am staying until I vote. This should work just fine, but I'm fretting anyway, can't be helped. I know I'm not fretting alone...there's so many things that could happen, I can't even think of them all without wanting to hyperventilate into a big paper bag. So I am shutting down those brain circuits and filling them temporarily with all the Pinky and the Brain episodes I've ever seen until I've voted and feel like I can breathe again...

Frankly, I think Election day should be a national holiday...who's with me here?

Yes, yes, yes. I am doing the same .. waiting as long as I have to and staying away from the tv and etc. to avoid giving myself a cardiac event by 6 pm from the sheer hysterical stress of it.

I think tomorrow's going to be a pseudo-holiday since everyone will be standing in line for 4-6 hours between 7 and 7. I imagine that everything will be understaffed and that it will be okay.

Yeah, pretty much. At least this is good--turnout hasn't been this high since the 50's I'm told. And maybe, just maybe, the country is so pissed off that we'll kick the republicans in the ass and send them on their horrible, horrible way...

I got to vote early cuz I hate voting crowds. They scare me.

I'm going to watch fun movies all day and drink hot cocoa...I don't wanna be outside in the street for fear someone will try to convert me. XD
