Youtube is amazing...I was digging around last night and stumbled onto this...<object width=" 425"="425"" height="344">
I remember watching this as a kid and being totally smitten...I've got a soft spot for those late-seventies vaguely apocalyptic animated movies:)

I also found "The Devil and Daniel Mouse"...another favorite from my being very small. Yes, I had an odd childhood...

FWAH!! I love Rock & Rule. And I had this ridiculous crush on Omar. WTH.

But yeah, Mok PWNED that movie.

"She can sing, or she can screaaaaaaaaam! Ahh! But she still pissed me off." That line still cracks me up.

I have it on VCD, but I need to get it on DVD -- I think they finally have it now.

But now that I think about it, how could I NOT have had a crush on Omar? He's was a smart-assed redhead. Pfft. I had no hope. :p

Smart ass redheads are delicious that way, I must admit. Even when they're some kind of mutated-dog-guitarist:)

I have to get a copy now...it's better than I remembered it to be!!

I could be a total bitch and link to several times when I've posted about it lately (okay, the last 2 years) but I don't feel like going and finding them, and I can't tell you how many days lapse between times when I get to read my friends page either. But my LJ as of late has totally been a crusade to let people know about the reissue, so hi-five. The Pinx are exactly as likely to cover "Born To Raise Hell" as "My Name Is Mok". So hi-five again.

Actually I'm going to let you in on the bitch-slap hi-five. You go "hi five!" and they put their hand up and you whack it with the back of your hand while saying "BITCH SLAP HI-FIVE!" They might pee on themselves from your godlike invention, which is mine and I copyrighted it. I own it. But you can borrow it the next time someone goes to hi-five you and you have to think FAST and not let them realize what's about to hit them.

Hey now, I didn't mean to miss your posts...I've been a spazz, not replying like I should...I do actually follow a lot of your posts, and love them. (The Dr. Who post was luscious, and I laughed tea out my nose at the koala.)

I am honored to learn the ways of the Bitch-slap Sensei...I will do you proud! I will use it on all my cow-irkers, one by one and all together!!!

Holy crap! I forgot all about Rock and Rule. Thanks for the reminder. :) Speaking of older movies, I watched Flash Gordon recently.

I love that movie...I am definitely Brian Blessed's spiritual daughter. Nothing I would love more than to have wings and smash things, yelling, "Dieeeee!!! Whaheyyyyy!!!"

Totally worn out on Flash Gordon lately. Completely. I went from being enthusiastic about one of my childhood favorites to being a typical parent, wincing whenever my kid mentions it. Know what gets me through it? I bet you do.
Princess Aura.
Yep. And the whipping scene. Hell yeah.
The acting throughout is gloriously bad, which is ... perfect.

That's why I love bad movies generally, and Flash Gordon is brilliant that way...the glorious bad acting, the over the top sets...freakin' beautiful! (And Timothy Dalton in green tights was what got me through all that bad 70's hair:)

Actually, one of the best bad movies ever is Razorblade Smile...it is a diamond of bad. Bad acting, bad dialogue, bad sets, pants-wettingly bad action sequences...I really should borrow Cleolinda's technique and sum it all up in 15 minutes, just to share the badness properly. It is totally non-child safe, as there is much jiggling of boobies...
