Journal of the Plague Week...
Jan. 18th, 2001 11:46 amI'm back at work today, mostly well but still
coughing and a bit weak. (I'm glad i'm back--spent most of the morning catching up on
the work my replacement didn't do. Killlllmeeeee...)
I didn't get a damn thing done this week because of the virus. No streaks, no checking of cool things for Kev and Cyn to do when they arive, no cleaning of the apartment, no laundry. Nada, zip, niechevo. I think I lost about ten pounds, too. (There is good news;) The world just *stops* when you're really sick, because it has to. But poeple have been very kind, sending my sorry coughing butt home from work, stopping by with soup, etcetera. I do feel grateful for the attention. And grateful I got my voice back today, too. (well, sorta--it kinda sounds like the creepy lady from the movie "Beloved" Or Diamanda Galas without the really good soprano bits. (I'm a croaky alto today.)
Ms Fledermaus, today the Magical Croaking Bat.
(Um, ribbit?)
