Best Picture of the Week...
Dec. 17th, 2008 08:08 pmYa wanna know why? I'll tell you why! Because it has a cute bunny!!!

Alfred the Bunny...a charmer if there ever was one...
And, speaking of bunnies, the Peat has offered me a horrible, insidious offer...a rescue bunny, angora, black, who needs a warm loving home. He's offered to come over and babysit if I'm not home, if only I would take him into my life and living-room. My strict no-pets policy is crumbling around me. (It was the damn sea-monkeys that were the thin edge of the wedge here, I knew they'd be trouble.) I...I'm having thoughts. Because I'm having thoughts, I wondered what you, my beloved friends, would recommend. Would you recommend:
A: Get over your whining and take the damn bunny already!
or,
B: No, you're not home that much, and when you are you're busy, and your folks are allergic, and the earth would cave in and the sun would freeze if you did that, silly Maus...
I think I may know the answer already, but it's more fun to hear people say it...

Date: 2008-12-18 02:57 am (UTC)I think that if you're dedicated and faithful, and if if you don't have to take it to work, you can probably make time to handle whatever demands a bunny puts on you. But, just as with any other pet, you should have a realistic idea of all the demands before you take on the responsibility.

Date: 2008-12-18 05:57 pm (UTC)I do not know why you have a no pet policy in the first place. Bunnies can be more work than cats, I think, and the chewing is a consideration, BUT it might be a lot of fun. It's nice to have someone be excited when you get home!
If you try it out and it isn't going well, do you have options for somewhere else for it to live?

Date: 2008-12-19 02:39 am (UTC)I'll talk to Peaty about it. If it's a rescue bunny it may be shy and skittish too, which isn't much fun. I'll just talk it out and see how I feel about it.
