More incriminating stories about bunny-love...

The Snow Gods read my last post, and there was just enough snow for me to shovel again when I got home...*grumble* I was tired and grumpy. But Peaty stopped over to get some red velvet for a matator's costume, and I ended up stopping by the Neighbors for a while. I didn't have the oomph to go out to the cool DJ thing Venus does every Tuesday, but it was nice to have the company...

And the best company of all was Alfred the Bunny, who is *still* there! He came out of his cage, and went right to me again...he licked my chin, frolicked back and forth on the couch, and stretched out and watched tv with us all. The very very best part was when Alfred stole my neighbor Aaron's hat, and then hid behind me for protection. So naughty and funny!!!

Anyway...I caved. I'm going to try out a rescue Jersey Woolly bunny named Shamu. He's litter trained, neutered, and needs a home. If it doesn't work out the lady who's taking care of him will take him back, and Ben and Peaty already have a hutch for him to put in my living room...*gulp* I'm getting a bunny, people...I'm going to become the Crazy Bunny Lady who lives at the end of the block...

What's really cool is that the bunny people are saving me all the angora they comb off their rescue rabbits, and want to give it to me for free!! That is a lot of yummy yummy fuzz to spin...

And when Shamu's all set up I'll have to have a meet-and-greet bunny party:)

It's a lovely system really... carrots and spinach and water go in, angora wool, garden poo, and bunneh love come out! It's win-win. And don't worry - Shamu can come over and visit anytime!

Awww...but our love is not to be, Alfred belongs to a little girl in a 4-h program. I'm sure he likes me so much because I remind him of her, since the Neighbors are all male and probably sound and smell funny to him...

But if I could adopt him...I think I'd do it now. Especially after his hat-stealing trick, which was the cutest thing ever.

My cousin had a rabbit called Basil which fascinated my children until it bit one of them. Them's evil, them bunnies!

Whuh-oh...yeah, there are good bunnies and vorpal bunnies. I guess that rabbit was a grouchy thing, huh? I hope the kids don't have bunny-nightmares from their unhappy experience...

Maybe I can train Shamu to attack on command? I'm sure I can enlist him in Rabbit Obedience School, and tell him if he nips, Saturn the Cat will come and stare at him through his cage for a while.
