Happy Imbolc...
Feb. 1st, 2009 03:01 pmToday I'm still feeling a little woozy from Ben and Peaty's massively wonderful Imbolc party...was it the jello, or the Delicious Candy Death Cocktail? Hard to say...anyway, there's a co-op meeting later on this evening, so all of us co-op members made sure to drink a little extra, just to help us face up to the joys of a good long board meeting...urrrgh. All I know is, if anybody there gives the nice new neighbors any guff, I'll personally choke them with baklava until they shut up. Hmph.
Otherwise, projects are projecting. Bunny is bunny-ing. There is yarn. I've been fixing up the first shawl I'd ever made from years ago--Captain Emily calls it The Precious. I'd traded it to her for some eyeball jewelry, since she's coveted The Precious since time immemorial. Now I'm lengthening it somewhat and cleaning up the edges. It's weird coming back to a project years later, when you know so much more and are so much more aware of the flaws of the original. But really, it's really pretty for a first shawl...
And yeah, there's some kind of football thing going on, I don't even care. Ummmm...there's tight pants and stuff. And some guy from New Jersey singing, oh whatever he sings. I love being oblivious to the SuperBowl, I think it's one of my better personality traits:)
