The Littlest Orca...
Feb. 3rd, 2009 09:32 pmAlright, people...I think it's time for a bedtime story...just one now, because it's so cold and awful outside. Got the jammies and the blankets? Excellent. Now let me find my pop-up book...
*ahem*
Once upon a time there was a tiny, tiny orca-whale. He was seriously wee. He was shunned by all the other orcas because he was so small, and he was fuzzy. He also couldn't really swim, so any orca games were right out. This made him a sad, sad orca...The family he lived with told him, "Don't be sad, but wee as you are, we're running out of room for cetaceans; we gotta find you a new home or do a Free Willy kind of thing..." This gave him worries galore. Where was he to go? Can he hop all the way to Sea World all by himself? Can he buy a bus ticket?
Happily a nice gardener knew this family and told them, "Hey, I have the perfect place to keep an orca!" And after a good two months of pestering and bugging and wheelding his nice neighbor-lady, the Littlest Orca had a new home. So he ended up in the living room of a Maus. The Maus, who was really a bat and not a mouse or a moose or a mousse of any kind, was gentle and sweet to him, and told him it didn't matter that he was tiny and couldn't swim...she liked him and his fuzzy, hoppy ways...
So now he lop-lops all over her living room, and is a happy creature. He has learned about the concept of toys. He keeps trying to read books, and then gives up and attempts to chew the corners. (He has noticed a resemblance to the pictures in the "Happy House Bunny" magazine he keeps trying to chew on. It puzzles him.) So far he hasn't been able to jump through a hoop like the other orcas, but that doesn't seem to bother the Maus...and so far, they're living Happily Ever After...
There we are...and good night:)
