I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. DeVille!!
Feb. 7th, 2009 04:00 pmThis afternoon I was goofing off with Matthew in the Fiber Studio, groping roving for spinning...and before I knew rightly what was happening, I was in front of a camera, telling people how great the Fiber Studio was. *blushes* Turns out the owner of the shop was filming an ad for her website, and asked if I would be willing to give an interview for it. Ham that I am, I was delighted. (Plus, the shop is really, REALLY good. Easily the best shop around for felters and spinners, hands down.) We also filmed Matthew groping some of the merino batts and telling the camera how much more gratifying it was to be able to touch the fibers you're buying instead of buying online. I was rewarded with some beautiful butterscotch roving, and we had the best time running around the store, shopping for the cameras. We giggled all the way to my house...
Now I'm home, with a huge bag of merino and lots of mini-baguettes about to be decorated with delice and ham. The Neighbor Boys are stopping by to help me clip Shamu's claws--a two person job at least. And life is very, very fuzzy...
