A quiet Valentine's day request...

I've been having a good, laid-back valentine's day. There's yarn, there's Metalocalypse. I figured I'd see what was going on with my friends, and I found a note from Cheryl, the nice lady who gave me Shamu the Bunneh...


"Michelle, I just saw Shamu's 1/2 brother at the pet shop--I cried when I saw him! They took him back from an abusive owner. If you know anyone who will give a good home to a nice bunny, please let me know. He's the one that looks like Shamu in my "Bunnies!" photo album. He's missing a lot of hair right now, but still wants to snuggle under your chin. I'm going back to get him tomorrow. Poor baby, he's only 4 months old!"

It's killing me, that somebody would be so cruel to such a little creature...

Anyway, if anyone out there is looking for a quiet, good companion, a bunny rabbit is really a treat. (No, not a tapas! I read that post in the Twin Cities community blog! Bad reader!) If you're interested, please post below or email me, and I can forward it to Cheryl. I'm struggling very very hard not to take him myself, even though I don't have a lot of space for two bunnies...

Happy Valentines day, Shamu...I'm just glad you're in a safe,happy environment with a lady who feeds you snow peas and lets you scamper on the couch...

I dunno...but part of me just wants to save the new bunny too, and part of me just wants to find those people and kick them in the head over and over, chanting, "You can't be cruel to bunnies! You can't be cruel to bunnies! Say it back! Say it back!"

I'll talk to the Peaty, and see if we can find him a good human. Meanwhile, He'll be somewhere safe and warm, with the other Pi Hollow rabbits. So that's something...

thus my belief that one can't be an animal breeder and really claim to love their animals.. you can't vet everyone that buys the offspring.

These people try, though...we had a bunny interview at my house before I agreed to take Shamu. They're doing the best they can, I'm sure...

I'm in no position to take care of a bunneh, sadly. It's good that he is in a good home for now, though!

(You know the really awful thing? Somebody drew a frowny face on the little fellow, on one of the bits where his hair was gone...one of these:( How can someone DO that to something so small? Bastids. I have to go cuddle Shamu again just thinking about it...)

When YC and I had made the snow rabbit, we carried on sledging. Two other kids came and knocked the rabbit over.
