Heeheehee...
Mar. 6th, 2009 07:35 pmNot long ago I just finished shaving Peaty's back and slathering theatre makeup on it for his burlesque turn this fine evening. Hoooboy, am I a good friend or what? Even though it's a little like shaving your little brother, it was kind of fun--the kind of fun kids have when you're all playing dress-up and the boys get into the makeup. And it sounds like in future I may have some burlesque knitting I can do for costuming... My life is weird:)
It's been a really good day, actually. I hung out with the Liz, who is amazingly perky for someone who had major surgery last week. I took her to the fantastic candyland known as the Fiber Studio, and you could hear the angels sing, "Ahhhhhhhhhh!" when she opened the door. We bought our rovings, and the nice lady behind the counter told me that the commercial I'm in is now all on cd, and this week the filming guy's coming over to help install it on her blog. When it's up, I'll send a link. Exciting stuff, I tellya! *looks fondly at yellow and green roving in a little paper bag on the counter*
So now I'm killing a little time before I dress myself up in my prettiest pretties. Ben the Neighbor has unearthed some clove cigarettes, so I can indulge in my ritual 1/2 clove of the year. (I'm not a smoker, so I can't finish a whole one.) We'll listen to some more Savage Love on podcast, and then go flouncing down the street to our delicious night of silly dancing....
Oh man, do I need this night out...*glows in the happy for a while*
