A short list of unrelated things...
Apr. 13th, 2009 08:51 amIsland time is in full swing now. I came home and instead of running indoors to warm up I spent a half hour hanging out with the Neighbor Boys in the garden, watching the chickens cluck and scratch. I fed them old muffins. (That would be both the boys and the chickens.)
It's nice padding around in the morning with some actual light from outside. Light is good. I like it...
Easter supper for me was a really nice gorgonzola pasta dish with basil and chicken and veggies. I have leftovers for lunch today. Mmm, gorgonzola...
Shamu hasn't been romping as much as he usually does in the mornings. He's eating, and seems alert and well, just not hoppy. I petted him a lot though, and he did his little tooth-clicking noise that's the bunny equivalent to a purr. Maybe he was just sleepy this morning....
I have some books coming in the mail. Lately I haven't been buying much stuff because every penny counts. But I remember a while back I used to give myself an allowance, under the heading, "mental health money." Usually this meant good comics and music, and maybe a pizza thrown into the bargain. So I hit Amazon up for Pride and Predjudice and Zombies, and Cleolinda's Movies in 15 Minutes. At least one book should be coming any day now...it's all I can do not to mug the postman, yelling, "Where are my books! I WANT ME SOME ZOMBIES!!"
...So there you are, a detailed exploration of not much really...
