More adventures in Urban Farming...
Apr. 13th, 2009 08:21 pmI had a normal work day...some good stuff, some annoying stuff. Matt stopped by after workies and we got some dinner, then headed back to the Maushaus to play with Shamu. Shamu seems perkier, full of bounce and funnyness, which is good. But the real fun was outside in the back yard...
I am now the proud owner of one(1) bale of timothy hay. An entire bale. Five bucks worth of rabbit-grazing goodness, and I could feed a dozen Shamus with this thing. I've been spending some time breaking it down into smaller bags and trying to figure out where to put it all...I'm covered with chaff, and I look like I've been mugged by a scarecrow. But its good stuff--I already fed Shamu a little and he was very excited about different hay with his dinner:) Now I have two large bags in the kitchen, two in the Rainy-Day craftroom, and one under the porch for later...
Ummmm...does anyone need any hay for anything? Anything at all? I have extra...

Date: 2009-04-14 11:51 pm (UTC)Hmmm...scarecrows. I could perhaps make one BIG one by Ben and Peaty's yard. I have an old skirt that just screams scarecrow. I think you've given me an idea!
