I've been slacking off lately...
May. 6th, 2009 10:39 amThis week I haven't been working on much in the way of projects. Maybe I just needed a break, but now it's starting to nag at my soul. Bad Capricorn...
But really, the three-day weekend is still helping me. Even with last night's annoying run to St.Paul, I feel pretty rested. And I have this weekend to look forward to; since the Shepherd's Harvest festival is happening. Sounds like a lot of my fiber-oriented cow-irkers are going--nobody in my department, alas. (I am the resident fiber freak in my department, and it's a lonely place to be. So I babble about wool and technique and whatnot with 3 or 4 other people here, in the few minutes or so that we see each other. I hope I bump into them at the festival...)
Meanwhile, even though we're seriously busy at the Jade Mines, we all feel a little relieved that Art in Bloom is over. We're all joking and laughing again--the boss mentioned at the morning meeting that Number Two was out sick, and "You know what that means..." We all looked at each other blankly, and then someone piped up, "Swine Flu?" We all started laughing and yelling, "On No! He's gonna kill us all! Get the bleach!!"...
So there you are. And just for good measure, I have gooped the work computer with lots of Purell:)
