A small list:

Wearing: Green pants, black shortsleeve top, hair tie, no jewelry. (Jack S, of course.) Minimal makeup. (I have emergency lipstick somewhere.)

Thinking: It's hot out. don't like hot. Hot bad. How can my boss wear a full suit like that?

Drinking: coffee, and water. Lots of water.

Reading (Not now, of course) "Woman in the mist" by Farley Mowat. (a biography of Dian Fossey.)

Smelling: the remnants of my bath goop from this morning, dust, heat.

Grateful for: My talk with Kev last night over the phone...(Hi, Delta!)

Coveting: This empty box with a lid I scrounged...perfect for decoupaging. It's mine, mine, you hear?

****NEWS FLASH!****
Rob just came in, grinning from ear to ear. He got called up by someone working at the Whitney last night, and got sent a business card to contact for sending slides!!!! Holy Shit!!! (Note for those who wonder what the hell I'm talking about: It is the equivalent of winning the lottery. It is notoriously hard to get a major museum to look at slides, especially unsolicited. the fact that they called him is very promising.) GLEEEEEEE!!!!!!

Ms Eff,
Feeling: Happy for her friend. Awwwright!!!

Get in line, pal..:) It's all I can do not to elbow Rob and say, "Old buddy, old pal, C'mon, do a gurl a favor, sweetie darling..." I suuuure hope this means they want to buy his pieces...or even put him in a show. *crosses fingers for luck*

Sadly, no...Maybe I can talk him into putting a pic on my website. (Hmmmm) Otherwise, he's a very off-line kinda guy. But damn he's good--makes abstracted found-object animals and freaky cybernetic paintings out of the vilest folk-art expressions you ever saw...and mixes corporate logos in them to boot! (His last group of new work involved sequins on black velvet of animals...with subtle logos hidden everywhere...)

Ms Eff, who has the card for the show--maybe I can sneak up to the scanner...

The folks at the Whiitney must read Snooty Pages!!! "Hey, Virgil, order us up some o' that quirky Midwest crap, I mean art..."

I'm way too busy now with "the big move" to go see Rob's exhibit... Zut!
