A short list of good things...
Jul. 6th, 2009 08:57 am...People are in a goodish mood at workies.
...It's peach season at last, and since I need to go shopping tonight, that means I will tote home as many as I can carry...
...I have some Shetland wool I bought from a friend of Peaty's. It's from her sheep, and it's a lovely brown-black. When I bought it, it was still pretty raw, full of straw and veeeeeery sheepy-smelling. After lots of washing, it's finally ready for me to card. And I'm such a fiber-geek that I'm happy about this.
...I have more yarn to photograph when I get home. I've got some that's gothy, and some that's very, very VERY pink, with some other colors. I'm calling that one, "Rock N'Roll Clown"...
...I have one (1) last dose of medicine for Shamu the Bunneh. And last night we both sat on the floor cushions, with me petting and him just snuggling up. It's nice he feels better enough to do that again, and that he doesn't hate me for shoving nasty oral syringes in his mouth...
...And it looks like rain.. I'm hoping for it, a little.:)

Date: 2009-07-06 02:19 pm (UTC)OMG Peaches. I LOVE peaches, to me they always taste like summer (even though I have to peel them). Somehow there is nothing quite as sensual as eating a nice summer warm peach in the sunshine, so juicy that you have to lean over in order not to get peach juice on your clothing....
Yay bunneh, feeling well, and I hope for rain for you.

When I went to Niagara-On-The-Lake with my friend Susie, a few years ago, it was peach season and there were signs all over the place -
"pêches locales à vendre"
Why does that look so much classier than "Local peaches for Sale"?
