A very short list of unrelated things...
Jul. 26th, 2009 10:07 amI'm at the Jade Mines again. It seems like a lovely day outside. I'll be looking out the windows, pining...
It's Mr Scraggit's birthday. Happy birthdaaaaay toooo youuuuu!
I now have a copy of "And I Don't Want to Live This Life" by Deborah Spungen, mother of Nancy Spungen. It's really fleshed out Nancy as a person instead of the shrill-tonged, freaked out junkie everybody thinks of. Heartbreaking stuff...
Shamu the Bunneh is shedding like crazy, yet hates the curry-brush. So I just spent a half hour gently plucking out his undercoat and petting him while he made happy teeth-chattery noises. I now have enough Shamu angora to mix with some black merino for a really, really soft scarf...
My fridge is full of eggs from the Island chickens and lots of zucchini. I feel humbled by this, even though it happens fairly regularly...
I also got a chance to play in the raspberry bushes, picking enough berries for dessert on the Patio...the prickles were worth it.
We all got a chance to check out the new houseboat neighbors down the way...they're cheerful, kind people so far, and it was great fun climbing up and down to the boat deck and admiring how beautifully they've fixed it up. Pictures are coming, but the home setup is still down due to forces of nature...
And so, there you are...and I'm off to boss the masses:)
