I should check out the Beethoven movies...I don't think I've seen any. I have seen "Amadeus" which really isn't the same thing at all...

Amadeus isn't the same thing at all! The "Beethoven" movies are a series of increasingly dopey kid flicks about lovingly stupid, slavering St. Bernards. The original one, ghosted by John Hughes and starring Charles Grodin, has some pretensions to so-bad-it's-good status, but the rest of them cry out for MST-3K treatment.
