Matt and Erin and I went of a mad journey of discovery, to Donnie Dirks. (The new zombie pub. Zombie pub? Zombie pub!) It's an offshoot of Psycho Suzis, and while we enjoyed ourselves immensely the best, best part of the whole experience is that on the plasma tvs they were showing...Night of the Lepus.

So the entire time we were there we were laughing hysterically at the very large, foaming, disapproving rabbits with mashed banana on their faces, attacking various cowboy-people. The director tried so hard, so very hard to make them menacing. There was even scads of intensely bright fake blood. But no, it was not to be...I'd only seen small bits and pieces of the movie in the past but now I have to go find a copy for myself. And never, ever let Shamu the Bunneh watch it...He'd either have nightmares or it would give him ideas...

Now it's another day, and I'm off to work. But the memories of the Giant Disapproving Bunnies will linger on...

I just heard about this yesterday and I'm so upset. I can't believe they killed Stand Up Frank's to make a fucking hipster Planet Hollywood. Hisss!

It's not so bad as Planet Hollywood--bit smallish, lots of mirrors. (Funny enough, there were no hipsters in sight, not one--just older yuppies, a smallish handful of gritty-types, and the Sweeties and me.) I don't know the back story very well; I'd never been to Stand-Up Frank's in it's heyday.

I have no doubt that you and the sweeties were the best part of it.

Yes. Yes you do. Bunnies eat Deforest Kelly. It must be seen to be believed...

I immediately went to Amazon and found the movie! It's going for a ride on a truck to our house.
