Lemon verbena tea with mint is really, insanely simply good...

The new sound system for the new field for the Annoying School Down the Way is...very, very loud. And annoying. I can hear it from my kitchen, which is the far end of the Island. Meh...

Shamu the Bunneh has decided that now it's cold out, there's nowhere he'd rather be than on his little white pillow in the living room. Last night at bedtime, he refused to budge from it. I had to carry the little tribble to bed, with the usual kicking and wiggling. But tonight's my late night, so he can sit on his pouf all he wants...

Mid-eighties nostalgia is all right, as long as you remember what the eighties was actually like.
For me, the eighties was not my finest hour...I had that stupid mullet cut and Duran Duran posters everybody else had. But sometimes I hear something really good from that era and lighten up a little...

I'm currently eating sushi at you all. Very carefully. Trying hard not to get fish eggs on the keyboard...

A coworker is having a party, and keeps inviting me (and everyone he knows). I wouldn't mind going to one of his parties, but it's an eighties theme, and I don't have any eighties-looking stuff, let along want to wear any of it.

Maybe you could come dressed like ummmm...oooh, you're right. The eighties kinda sucked that way. I suppose you could wear a nice suit and a skinny tie, and say you're a yuppie?

I can't imagine what the people in the condos just across from the school must be enduring. Is there some kind of environmental agency dealing with noise pollution you can call?

We call it in to the non-emergency police number whenever we see some breach...and that number must be getting tired of us calling. Everybody e-mails the city, too, pointing out that this is the kind of thing we predicted before the stadium even went up:/

So we're working on things, but it's water dripping on stone...

The Chambermaids from Minneapolis played at that party Saturday (in Spring green) that I raved about in my last LJ post. Their 2006-ish CD, more than the live performance, reminded me of very early 1980s The Clash ("London Calling"). Those were the days...
