I'm not feeling so hot. I've been on and off feverish and coughing at work today. For a while it was almost kind of fun, really. Of course I had to be in a meeting when I was on the feverish end, so I sipped hot tea and tried not to sound too loopy. It's funny stuff--when I'm not feverish, I feel like I'm just being a hypochondriac or something. When I hit the feverish bit, I feel just awful. Right now I'm in the not-feverish state again, so I'm going to run with it while it lasts...but I suspect I'm going to burn a sick day tomorrow.

Of course in my feverish state, I was waiting for the bus at the stop, and one of my funnier cow-irkers passes me by. I'd been running into her over and over all day, and she asks me with a grin, "Are you stalking me, lady?" I was reading the City Pages article about Jonathan the Impaler Sharkey returning to Minnesota (rilly?) to run for governor again,(seriously?)so I waved his picture at her and yelled back, "Noooo, but the IMPALER is! Run away! Run away!!" It was a great moment...

So, to sum up:

Maus = feverish and easily amused.
Bus Stop = Site of much hilarity.
Jonathan Sharkey = Proof yet again that my fair state attracts the crazies...

We're spotty about our crazies. We get good ones like Franken, then super-weird ones like Ventura, then the totally psycho ones like Bachman and Sharkey. (It gives me the willies. People elected Bachman twice. Twice!)
