Disturbing pizza dreams...

Just before I woke up I was having a dream about some shop that specialized in customized eyeballs. You could have your old ones popped out and new ones inserted, with gemstone colors and flashy lights and whatnot. I was kind of browsing, but wondered what I would look like with amethyst eyes when I woke up...

It had to be the pizza. I wasn't even reading any William Gibson or Pat Cadigan or anything...

Sometimes it would be fun to customise the eyes...glasses and contacts are fine, but what if I want a long-range setting, for for everthing to be purple? Ah well, I can wait...

We could have picked out some pretty cool stuff...there were eyes where the outer rings lit up in little mother of pearl mosaics, and I really liked some cat's-eye gemstone ones in amber. I was a little sad to wake up.

Oh! That reminds me! I have a story about that rock you gave us with the eye on it. I showed it on Saturday to a precocious and sweet 2 year old girl. She was very intrigued by it. Her mom told her to go show Daddy the eyeball. She carefully carried it in there and said, "Daddy, this is called an EYEball."

That's so cool! I should hit a taxidermist website or something to make some more someday. Sadly, Ax-man ran out of their surplus eyeballs a long time ago. (I do have a very small stash of the best ones, though...)
