I just got done running errands after work...Gah! The bus was the fullest the driver had ever seen. I managed to wriggle out at my stop and climb around the huge snowpiles to get to the post office. Then I very carefully trotted around traffic to get to the mini-grocery down the way. There was honking and yelling and people everywhere,desperately wanting just one thing: To. Get. Home...
And on the bridge, halfway down I saw the messed-up part of the snow-barrier between the bus stop and the street, where this morning I tried very hard to cut a path from one to the other. Foolish Maus--I nearly lost my boot doing it, and ended up flailing out of waist-deep snow, cursing myself and the elements. Tomorrow I hike down the bridge to the plowed, lit bus stop, so I don't have to jump around like a maniac, waving my arms and yelling, "No I want this bus! Please don't leave, Noooooo!"
Okay, I admit I already do the arm-waving and the crazy-lady yelling. But now I do more waving and crazy-lady yelling before 7am than most people do all day. I'm a little proud of that, actually...
