Huzzah! I've arrived at the welcoming shores of Weekend yet again. It's a gorgeous place, full of napping and tea and clothes that aren't polyester and various delightful things.

This weekend I feel a bit bitten by the shopping bug. After a little while cruising Etsy and entering "Gothic Soap" into the search engine, I have some entertaining soapy things coming my way. As well as fluff. And I has to restrain myself from getting the cutest mini-spinning wheel for faerie folk, made of bark and twigs and moss. (I put a link up right here so you can understand why my eyes glazed right with wanting.)

Usually I'm not much of a shopaholic, but on occasion something inside me snaps and yells, "I want things!! Gimme some things!!" and I find it's best to obey, at least a little... It's been kind of a weird week too, so maybe it's a way to distract me from all the other things going on, like the weather or work or what have you.

Anyway, things. I will have them. Muahahahaha...

My favourite "Gothic Soap" when I was a wee lad was "Dark Shadows." They don't make soap operas like that any more... True Blood is way too well written and cast and produced to compare to the grainy black & white melodrama of the Collins family. Oh, you really WERE talking about SOAP... D'Oh!!!

I vaguely remember a site with soap named things like Blood, Cyanide, etc. (Neither item was actually in the soap, of course.) ;)

That sounds pretty cool...I usually stock up around Halloween for the good stuff, but I'm all out again. I did get a cute one with soapy body-parts in it--eyeballs and fingers and such. I can hardly wait to have it!
