Sleepytime...
Feb. 5th, 2011 05:54 pmI went to Ben the Neighbor's lovely, lovely Imbolc party last night...a warm room with good friends and tasty things made me a very cheerful thing. My other neighbor Karen is having a baby, so we all got to coo at her and fuss her and try hard not to be annoying about her pregnancy, though we did come up with variously entertaining baby names. My contribution? "Phillip "Slayer" Ward the Second"...which would be awesome, though the middle name "Armeggadon" would have been a great thing. Poor Karen. I'll make it up to her with black knit baby things...
Now I'm up after a nap, but still sleepy around the corners. I just misspelled "Corners" about four times now, just because I'm still a bit groggy. Feels like I'm fighting a cold, a little. But luckily, Matt and I did a quick stop at the Seward Co-op and stocked up of healthy vitaminy things. Oddly enough, Karen and her husband Phil were stopping in at the same time so Matt jumped out of his car and chased theirs, flapping his arms like a goose and giggling the whole time. Phil told us later, "I wasn't sure if I had to run him down or end up in a fight, until I recognized the lunatic running behind me. I laughed my head off!"
So there we are...now I'm going to help with some supper and steal all the couch-blankets...
