Hair of the Dog...

Another friend of mine is asking if I can spin their dog's hair. Hoooboy...

Not that I'm necessarily adverse to spinning predator hair...but it's smelly, and lots of washing has to happen, and I have to mix it with something to get it to grab, all that. Just like that project with the human hair, I'm sort of amused and ooged out at the same time. But I *did* spin the human-hair scarf, didn't I?

I haven't said yes to anything yet, it's just somebody asking. And chances are the stuff will be too slippy to spin anyway, so I can say, "Nope, sorry, get a sheep and we'll talk."


At least it's a fun conversation, really...

you know... I once found a place online that would spin pet hair (cats/dogs etc.)... you could always refer them to that service should you decide.

What's really funny is everybody who has a dog wants me to do this thing. Everybody. Also, people with long-haired cats. Granted I am a weirdo that has a scarf made with her pet's hair, but he's a wool animal! *facepalm*

I'm probably gonna pass, just because of the dog smell factor. Shamu would never forgive me.

Way too much work for what you get in the end. It's why we use sheep and not sheepdogs:)
