A short list of unrelated things...

msfledermausIt's so beautiful out now...the apple trees are full of flowers, and the lilacs are blooming. Totally gorgeous. I look out the window and I'm just so happy. A work friend dropped me off at home yesterday, and couldn't believe the view, so I took her to see the chickens and the garden, and gave her a handful of fresh eggs to take home. It's always a little humbling to see the Island through someone else's eyes for a little bit...
It's been getting quiet on the yarn front. It's almost a relief; it means I can spend some more time spinning and making new things. This weekend should be a good time to crank out some good stuff. Also, sounds like the artist interview with a couple of my chokers will be coming out soon. I always feel so sheepish when I do press stuff like that, but the interview segment with my answers looks all right. I'm always worried I'll come off like a complete wool-obsessed crazy-lady when people ask me about what I do artistically. Which is probably accurate, but still!
Speaking of projects, I'm almost done with a baby blanket for a very, very pregnant friend. She's about to pop, oh, any day now. I'm just finishing embroidering a sun in a corner along with some flowers. There are rabbits on it, of course. There will be pics when I'm finished...but I'm not finished! Why am I not finished? Arrrgh!
And next weekend will be my first Rogue Docent Walking Tour of an outside location...very exciting stuff! I will post all the juicy details right here, very soon...
