Woolen joys...
Sep. 16th, 2011 08:42 amYesterday I started unpacking a few sweaters, now that it's cool enough to wear them...
Awesome.
I could use a few new ones. New, knit-up ones. Hehhehheh. Ah, but first, I must knit a handful of hats for various friends. I think I can do that:)
It's all been such a long time coming that I am delirious with joy. No more oppressive heat for a while, no more worrying if my air conditioner can cut the mustard, fretting whether the Wee Orca is alright with his fluffy coat. No more horrible stinging bugs, no mosquitoes or hornets or chiggers or any of that. No heavy humidity that coats you like a swipe from a wet facecloth. Just leaves that are finally changing color, apples, cool weather, Halloween. Finally here at last. I love fall so much...

Date: 2011-09-16 07:02 pm (UTC)When I lived in Iowa summer was a lot like you described above. Not quite so bad in WI. Some days in the low to mid 90s, not high 90s or over 100.
I don't do heat well, and prefer this climate--even with the snow in winter.
