I could *NOT* get to sleep last night. finally conked out after 2 am. None of the usual stuff helped...What Ireally shoulda done is right around Midnight read me some Harry Potter and let the cosiness sledgehammer my noggin into unconsciousness. But alas.

I actually thought about calling in dead to work, since it felt like I wouldn't get to sleep at all. But there's stuff I need to do at work today, that my replacement would be unwilling/unable but mostly unwilling to do. *grumble* I'll try to nap at lunch and then sleep when I get home.

I did finish the doll for the bookstore lady...pink skin, white hair, purple eyebrows and lips. Heee!

Other things I did:

Bought tons of yard at Depth of Field this weekend, and some really pretty knitting needles.

Made gallons of French Onion soup to help Ben the Neighbor get his voice back. shared funky yarn. Lifted neighbor's cat out of yard balls repeatedly.

Worked on lumpy knitted bookmark. I gotta look up how to perl again somewhere.

Had an impromtu dinner party with the usual suspects, watched the war, some south Park and various other strange things. Some of it gave me nightmares you *really* don't wanna hear about. No, really.

And today I got back to the Minimalist Inferno. *insert sarcastic "yaay" here*
