*Listens dreamily to more Cocteau Twins on cd player*...

Well, it beats the news...I turned it on for a bit to get the weather, and of course the California Recall was talked about in great detail. There are so many time when I listen to the news and the polls and just want to start screaming, "What the FUCK do you think you're DOING?!?!?!?" It's not good for an unassuming little boom box to get thrown against the wall mulitple times...so I listen to a lot of cd's.

I think everyone invloved should be forced to study a great deal of history before they can even step up to the plate. "The Gods are Thirsty" is a good place for them to start. Some damn Shakespeare couldn't hurt, either...particularly Macbeth and Lear.
Makes me wonder why we even bothered to step out of the savannah some days, since we seem hell-bound to repeat this tribal machismo no matter what the cost.

On a happier note...

I have a yarny package waiting for me at the post office. (Of course there was no one in the office on Saturday...like there's anyone ever...I should have had it delivered to work.) So at lunchtime I'm going on a little field trip to go get it:) Mmm, white angora!
