It's kinda freezy out this morning...I'm feverishly sewing some cuffs onto a mitten I was making at the Queen of Stuff's house the other day; I left my other mittens at home and fortunately brought the almost-done polar fleece ones I was playing with.
*stitch stitch stitch* I can feel winter closing in over my head. Last night I ended up baking orange tea bread and starting an afghan full of soft cosy yarn. When I woke up, I looked out the window first thing to see if it had snowed yet...
I didn't end up at the Dragon last night; my cow irker was still quite sick. There's a kind of crud going around; bit like a cold but turns into something that wants to be bronchitis really badly if you let it. So lately I've been recommending garlic and cayenne and hot lemon stuff:
1 cup hot water
At least a tablespoon of lemon juice, fresh or bottled, doesn't matter
At least a tablespoon of honey
a small pinch of cinnamon.
It's great if you're losing your voice, and the honey is nice and antibacterial...
