The golden hour...

...I'm back at the workies after a couple of days off. Well, sort of off--I had my union meeting yesterday, which went okay but always eats up more time than it's supposed to. Then I did the usual shopping for food and cleaning up and such for the week ahead. But I did have a nice quiet hour with supper just gazing out the kitchen window at the river and the sun setting behind it.
The water reflects the sun, and the river goes this beautiful orange color with the leaves rustling and the apples getting nice and red just outside the window. I like to call it the Golden hour, because the quality of the light is just warm and magical and beautiful...

It's going to be a long week, with lots of meetings for various things and I'll get cranky and tired. But I'll keep sitting by the window at supper and making myself enjoy the sunset to keep the cranky from taking over:)

The Brady Bunch...The Brady Bunch...

My cow-irker Chan and I were having the Dumbest Fight Ever...and it went like this:

Chan: *Hums "Brady Bunch" theme song, off key.
Me: Stop it.
Chan *Hums louder*
Me. I said, knock it off. You're off key, anyway.
Chan: No I'm not. *Hums more*
Me: Hey, did you ever hear about who was supposed to be dating whom on that show?
Chan: Yeah, wasn't it Florence Henderson and Greg?
Me: Nope, it was Peter.
Chan: Nuh-uh, it was Greg!
Me: Peter!
Chan: Greg!
Me: Peter!
Chan: Greg!
Me: Peter!
Chan: Older!
Me: Middle!
Chan: Older, woman!
Me: Middle, er, Man!!! I'm looking it up on my break, so there!
Chan: Fine! You'll see I'm right!
Me: Noooooo, I'm right.
Chan: *Hums Brady Bunch theme again...still off key...*

I know, it's better to Wikipedia this, but I thought I'd ask all my lovely, intelligent friends first. And then after I looked it up, I'd post the answer, and either give Chan a hard time about being right, or just lie my socks off and tell him it's Peter anyway;)
