The golden hour...

...I'm back at the workies after a couple of days off. Well, sort of off--I had my union meeting yesterday, which went okay but always eats up more time than it's supposed to. Then I did the usual shopping for food and cleaning up and such for the week ahead. But I did have a nice quiet hour with supper just gazing out the kitchen window at the river and the sun setting behind it.
The water reflects the sun, and the river goes this beautiful orange color with the leaves rustling and the apples getting nice and red just outside the window. I like to call it the Golden hour, because the quality of the light is just warm and magical and beautiful...

It's going to be a long week, with lots of meetings for various things and I'll get cranky and tired. But I'll keep sitting by the window at supper and making myself enjoy the sunset to keep the cranky from taking over:)

Aaaahhh!!! That sounds exquisite.. I know that time of day well. I've always thought of it as Midas' breath.... and how lucky are you to have Apple trees right outside your window! :)

I caught your supper "gazing out the kitchen window at the river and the sun setting behind it." If thepinksatan were around, I'm sure she'd tell you to make sure your supper can't see you before you eat it; it might scuttle away.
