Lunchtime haiku and a couplet...

Salmon bagel! Yay!
And hot chocolate, and maybe
small shortbread cookies.

And I have a cactus as a brand new pally pal,
I'll try hard not to pet him, 'cos he poked me, and he shall!!!

(Yes it's weird..I did just buy a leftover cactus from the Arte Povera show.
He's cute, and ever so spiny.)
*Nurses slightly poked finger...I'll be more careful from now on.*

I remember a comic strip I saw a long time ago that showed a sign that read: SAY IT WITH FLOWERS and a woman buying a cactus to give to her ex upon their divorce. I liked that one.

He's this crotchety old Italian guy who decorates with the oddest things...and I guess he had some extra cactus today:)

(None of the Arte Povera guys made it to the opening, sadly...all of them were pretty nervous about flying over.)
