(Insert Keanu-Reeves "whoa" here.)

It makes me want to drop in a comment saying, "Kids, please please please don't think about offing yourselves. Yes, I'm a stranger and what do I know, etcetra, etcetra, but just don't. Pain goes away. It may take a while, but it will always go away somehow."

But I don't...because I'm a stranger and what do I know, etcetra.

It makes me think of Pat, a friend of a couple of friends of mine. We hung out a time or two when he would come visit the Midwest again from Portland.
He committed suicide a few years ago. Even though we weren't close, it changed my life drastically for a while, just helping my other friends deal with the pain of losing him. Death changes people in ways you'd never think...affecting people you've barely known.

I wish I could tell them that.

{{{Mausi}}}

A good friend of mine lost her husband to suicide about 1 1/2 years ago, and the effects of his suicide rippled so far; I'm sure he wouldn't have had any idea.

Yeah...You never know just how much your life affects others until something terrible happens. I wish it was the other way around more often--that people discover how many people they affect by something good.

I sure hope you have luck hooking up with a little one...that would be such a nice turnaround to that whole phenomenon:)

Awwwww, thanks.

I know, maybe that's why "It's a Wonderful LIfe" is my all-time favorite movie. I just love the message.
